Catherine V. Engle

Catherine V. Engle of Kingsville, Texas, passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2011, at the age of 85. She was born in Phillipsburg, New Jersey, to Russell and Catherine Brown on November 7, 1925. Catherine was a homemaker and also a long time member of St. Gertrude’s Catholic Church. She was a devoted Mother, Grandmother and Great-grandmother.

Catherine is preceded in death by her loving husband of fifty-six years, Raymond Engle.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her children: Tom (Paula) Engle of Corpus Christi, Texas, Karen (Steve) Jamison of Kingsville, Ron (Christine) Engle of Jacksonville, Florida and Brian (Denise) Engle of Richmond, Texas; seven grandchildren: Michael Jamison, Kristin Jamison, Kimberly Drozd, Jason Engle, Nathan Engle, Paul Engle and Damion Edwards; seven great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Edward (Adeline) Engle of Easton, Pennsylvania; sister-in-law, Dorothy Stahl of Allentown, Pennsylvania; also numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was Tuesday, June 28, 2011, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Turcotte, Piper Mortuary. Rosary was recited that same evening at 7:00 p.m. at St. Gertrude’s Catholic Church, Kingsville. Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 29, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Gertrude’s Catholic Church with Monsignor Roger Smith as celebrant. Burial will follow the service at Chamberlain Cemetery, Kingsville.
