Albert "Tico" Maldonado, Jr.

Albert “Tico” Maldonado Jr., age 59 passed away peacefully into eternal rest listening to Celene Dion Music on Friday, February 24, 2012, in Austin, Texas. He was born on April 13, 1952 in Kingsville, Texas to Alberto and Dora Ruiz Maldonado.

Alberto retired from AT&T after 25 years of services. He was a member of St. Louis King of France Catholic Church in Austin, Texas. Alberto enjoyed music of all kinds and spending time with family and friends. Alberto leaves behind his family to cherish his memories, his parents, Alberto and Dora Ruiz Maldonado of King Ranch, Texas; brother and sisters, Dora (Joe T.) Garcia of Kingsville, Texas, Norma (Onesimo) Quintanilla of McAllen, Texas, Samuel (JoAnne) Maldonado of Kingsville, Texas, Catalina (Pete) Yaklin of Riviera, Texas; his best friend, Frank Garcia of Austin, Texas; five nieces, Sonia, Veronica, Monica, Samantha and Tracy; two nephews, Mario and Daniel; one great niece, Makayla Jo and three great nephews, Andy, Dylyn and Landon. Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 26, 2012 from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 6:00 p.m. that same evening. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, February 27, 2012 at 12:00 noon at St. Gertrude’s Catholic Church with interment to follow at Chamberlain Cemetery.
