William H Johnson

William Harrison Johnson, age 83, was born in Kyles Ford, TN., on June 11, 1927, and served in two wars, World War II and the Korean War, went to be with his Savior and rejoined his true love, Leona Mae on Valentine’s Day 2011 after a lengthy illness. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Jane, father, Dan, brothers, D.J., John, sisters, Leola, Ilene, and Olean.

He is survived by Homer and Sue Johnson, Mahala Cox, Hazel Necessary, Doris Davis, Iva and Willard Hayes, and many beloved in-laws, loving father to Linda Tew of Kingsport, TN., Teresa Smith of Montana, Irma Zimnitsky of Delaware, Shirley Purdy and Donna Dixon of Maryland, granddad to Donny and Scott Tew, Cory and Timmy Smith, Kathy Powers, Stacy Schott, Christine Hatchell, Sabian Woodard, Eric Purdy, Michael and Amanda Argentino, and great granddad to twenty-three.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 17th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at East Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday at East Lawn Funeral Home with burial to follow at East Lawn Cemetery.
