After Blaine graduated from Dobyns - Bennett High School in Kingsport he served in the U.S. Marines during the Korean War and after the war, graduated from the University of Tennessee. He then joined Magnavox in Greenville Tennessee, and Fort Wayne IN. Blaine married and had two sons. After a successful career at Curtiss Candy Company in Chicago and then eventually Nabisco in Parsippany New Jersey. He retired back to Knoxville. Blaine lived in Knoxville under the special care of Jenni Wylie and Penny Roger and eventually moved to Morning Point of Knoxville assistant living. Blaine was preceded in death by his first wife June, his second Evelyn, father John, mother Kate and his sister Betty. Blaine leaves behind his two sons Mike, and Andrew, his daughter-in- law Kari, and his grand children Austin and Michelle Harvey, and several cousins including Carol Ricker, and Alice Babb, at Blaine’s request, he will be cremated, have a graveside memorial, and then be buried at East Lawn Memorial Park in Kingsport.
