Wanda Jean Richardson, 57, went home to be with the Lord on Friday (April 27, 2018) unexpectedly. Wanda was born on August 12, 1960 to the late James Alfred and Jessie Mae (Roller) Richardson in Austin, TX.
Wanda was loved by so many, and led many people to know and love the Lord; her heart was one of a kind. She loved her family and her Sparks Awana kids. She was a member of Sunnyside Baptist Church for over 50 years. She enjoyed traveling on missionary trips. Wanda was always blessing and enjoyed helping others, never expecting or wanting anything in return.
Wanda retired from ETSU after 30 years of dedicated service as a computer analyst. Wanda was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, and friend; she will be greatly missed.
Left to cherish her memories are her loving mother, Jessie Mae Richardson; sister, Lisa Richardson; brothers, Bryan Richardson and David Richardson; sister-in-law, Christy Richardson; nieces, Jade Richardson and Haley Lane; nephew-in-law, Cory Lane; great nephew and niece, Corey Keith, and Kinley; and a host of friends.
The family will receive friends on Monday (April 30, 2018) from 5 to 7 p.m. at Sunnyside Baptist Church (406 Cooks Valley Road Kingsport, TN 37664). Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with Pastor Roy Graves officiating.
Wanda will be laid to rest on Tuesday (May 1, 2018) at 10 a.m. in the Garden of Memories at East Lawn Memorial Park. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be sent to Sunnyside Baptist Church (406 Cooks Valley Road Kingsport, TN 37664) c/o Sparks Awana Fund.
