Ted G. Cole, 72, went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 11, 2015, at his residence. He was born on October 24, 1942 in Ooltewah, Tennessee, the son of the late Robert Carston Cole and Ruby Kathleen Dye Cole. He retired from Eastman with thirty-three years of service as a Chemical Operator. Mr. Cole was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of Buffalo Ridge Baptist Church, served as the head usher and many other various ministries within the church. In addition to his parents, Mr. Cole was preceded in death by his sister, Peggy Fulwiler.
Survivors include his wife of almost forty-seven years, Mariana Cole; two daughters Malina McGee and husband Jim, and Karen Byrd and husband Courtney; one step grandson, Clint McGee and wife Kim; three step great-grandchildren, Clara, Audrey and James; one brother, J. Wayne Cole and wife Sharon; one sister, Bonnie K. Campbell; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Thursday, May 14, 2015 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at Buffalo Ridge Baptist Church, 197 Suncrest Street, Gray, Tennessee.
Funeral Services for Mr. Ted G. Cole will be held Thursday, May 14, 2015 at 7:00pm at Buffalo Ridge Baptist Church with Dr. Jody Jenkins and Dr. Gene Lasley officiating. Graveside service will be held Friday, May 15, 2015 at 10:30am in Mausoleum II of East Lawn Memorial Park with military honors to be rendered by the American Legion Hammond Post #3 and Gate City Post #265. Pallbearers will be Mickey Archer, Wayne Cowden, David Hayes, Matthew Hayes, Danny Jenkins, Jim Martin, Jon Roark, Brent Scroggs and Marty Scroggs. Honorary pallbearers will be Bob Bryant, Norman Cash, Colby DeBusk, Bob Edwards, Edgar Gamble, Larry Roark, Ron Smith, Joe Taylor, and all the other ushers that serve at Buffalo Ridge Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Buffalo Ridge Baptist Church, Missions or Cancer Ministries, 197 Suncrest Street, Gray, TN 37615.
