Sharon Maness

Sharon Maness, age 45 of Kingsport, entered into the arms of Jesus during the early morning hours of Wednesday, April 26, 2017. Sharon was born on February 16, 1972 in Sullivan County, TN to Carl F. White and Marjorie A. White. On August 5, 2001 Sharon married the love of her life, Mr. Steve Maness, and after 15 years of a beautiful life together, he survives.

Sharon loved life. She enjoyed working outside in her yard and she enjoyed working as a cosmetologist for 25 years. She was a gift to those who knew her and her laughter and joy was contagious. She had that special ability to work her magic; not only with your hair, but with your heart. She was a very unique and special woman and the world will forever be marked by her love and grace that she never failed to show and give. Sharon’s love will continue to live on through those who were blessed to have known her.

Sharon was preceded in death by her grandparents, Oscar and Louise Bishop; and grandmother, Edith Owens. She is survived by her loving husband, Steve; her father, Carl F. White and his wife Belinda; her mother, Marjorie A. White; sister, Tina Godsey and husband Todd; special niece, Amber Godsey and fiancé Bart McMillin; mother-in-law, Ruth Maness; her three Jack Russells, Bella, Daphne, and Callie Mae; a host of friends; and her family at Studio 36.

The family will receive friends on Friday, April 28, 2017 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at East Lawn Funeral Home. A memorial service celebrating Sharon’s life will follow at 7:00 pm at East Lawn Funeral Home Chapel.
