Samuel Luke

Samuel Luke, age 64, of Kingsport, TN, entered into rest on Sunday, January 6, 2013 at the Holston Valley Medical Center. He was a native of Madras, India and the son of the late William and Grace Luke. Mr. Luke was a member of Christ Fellowship Church, and also attended Mercy Seat Ministries. He was a self-employed computer software consultant. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers.

Survivors include his loving wife of 36 years, Kiran Luke; sons: Uday Luke and his wife Rebecca and Stephen Luke; grandsons: Jordan Samuel Luke and Carson David Luke; one brother, Charles Luke and a sister, Viju Swami, along with one niece and two nephews.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 10, 2013, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Mercy Seat Ministries. The Celebration of Life Service will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Reverend Leander Ray, officiating. Entombment will be held on Friday, January 11, 2013 at 12 noon in the Chapel of Memories in East Lawn Memorial Park. Everyone is asked to assemble at the mausoleum by 11:45 a.m. for the service.
