Rickey Anthony Christian

Mr. Rickey A. Christian, age 56, of Kingsport, went home to be with the Lord peacefully on Wednesday May 7, 2014 after a sudden illness. A native of Kingsport, Mr. Christian was born on June 2, 1957 the son of Calvin C. and Nannie Kate Roller Christian. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Perry & Elizabeth Roller and by paternal grandparents, John & Hattie Christian and by a sister-in-law, Anita Christian. He attended the Sunnyside Baptist Church. Survivors include his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Calvin and Nannie Kate Christian. One daughter, Keeton Christian. One step-daughter, Rebecca Williams and a step-granddaughter, Brooklyn. One brother, Wayne Christian. One niece, Casey Christian. His former wife, Rhonda Christian along with a number of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends also survive. Graveside services for Mr. Christian will be conducted on Monday May 12, 2014 at 1 p.m. from the East Lawn Memorial Park with Dr. Roy Graves officiating. There will be no public visitation. Active pallbearers include: Roy, Fred, and Junior Roller, Skip Tester, Brandon Carter, Scott & Charles Ball. Honorary pallbearers include: Don Shields, Ronnie Roller, Randy Roller, and Al Foley.
