Reba was born in Kingsport, TN on October 30, 1951, to her parents Wesley and Dorothy (Kenner) Palmer. She resided in Kingsport her entire life. She was owner/operator of Cookenour’s Texaco in Weber City, VA and later worked at Kay’s Uniform and JBR Buick in Kingsport. Reba loved the Lord and enjoyed attending Ridgeview Baptist Church in Church Hill, TN.
Reba was a shining light in the eyes of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her journey on this earth was one marked by love, laughter, and unwavering faith in God. Her passing has left a void in the hearts of her family and friends.
She enjoyed watching her daughter and granddaughters grow into the beautiful women they have become and was very proud of their accomplishments in life. She enjoyed the white sand and beautiful water of Destin with her daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughter. She remained very close with her Lynn View High school friends and enjoyed their outings.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Billy Jack Sells, Sr., baby brother, Lynn Palmer and sister, Brenda Mullins.
Reba is survived by her daughter Jennifer Cookenour Hubmann; Son-in-law, Brad Hubmann; granddaughters, Lauren Lyons, and Ellison Lyons (fiancé Jacob Jayne); her twin brother, Rudy Palmer (Ann) as well as beloved nieces, and many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 22nd at 11am with a Memorial Service to follow at 12pm at Ridgeview Baptist Church, 234 Hurd Road, Church Hill, TN with Michael Cookenour officiating.
Graveside service will be held on Monday, March 24th at East Lawn Cemetery at 9am.
Jennifer would especially like to thank Michael and Jill Cookenour and Phil and Trish Davis for their loving support to her and her mother during this difficult time.
