Peggy Ann Ellis

Peggy Ann Ellis, age 72, entered into rest February 2, 2014 at Holston Manor. Peggy was a lifelong resident of Kingsport. She was preceded in death by parents, Zenith Patton Gamble and Sarah Ellen Edens Gamble; her husband of 47 years, Walter M. Ellis, Jr.; grandchildren, Billy Ellis and Destany Ellis; six brothers, John Gamble, Bill Gamble, Eugene Gamble, Donnie Gamble, Andy Gamble, Z.P. Gamble, Jr.; three sisters, Mamie Dishner, Nancy Jones, Ada Calhoun. Peggy was a member of Stateline Baptist Church. Survivors include her children, Tony Ellis and wife Andrea, Jeff Ellis, Billy Ellis and wife Amy, Michael Ellis, Cathy Cavin and husband Darrin; six grandchildren, Tiffany, Justin, Mark, Taylor, Corbin and Steven; sisters, Emoline Fields and Norma Snodgrass. The family will receive friends Thursday from 12 until 2:00 p.m. at East Lawn Funeral Home with services to follow. Burial will be at East Lawn Memorial Park.
