Pamela J. “Pam” Halbrook, age 59, entered into rest October 17, 2013 at Holston Valley Medical Center. Pam was born in Mountain City, Tennessee and was a longtime resident of Kingsport. She was employed as an accountant with the City of Kingsport. Pam was a member of Indian Springs Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her father, Oliver Neatherly. Survivors include her mother, Betty Neatherly; her husband of thirty-seven years, Richard Halbrook, Sr.; one son, Jeffrey Halbrook and wife Becky; step-son, Richard Halbrook, Jr.; step-daughter, Joy Halbrook; six grandchildren, Timmy Jacobs, Derek Jacobs, Chelsea Jacobs, Caileigh Halbrook, Richard Halbrook III and Landon Halbrook; one sister, Jennifer Neatherly. The family will receive friends Saturday, from 12 noon until 2:00 p.m. at East Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. at East Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Roc Collins officiating. Burial will be at East Lawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Joey Stout, Jeffrey Halbrook, Richard Halbrook, Jr., Richard Halbrook III, Derek Jacobs and Timmy Jacobs. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Gideon Bibles.
