Nancy King Williams, age 80, entered into the arms of Jesus Christ during the morning hours of Saturday, May 12, 2018 at her residence in Rockwood, TN. Nancy was born on November 21, 1937 in Johnson City, TN to the late Perry and Sarah King. On January 7, 1960, Nancy married her most cherished friend, and love of her life, Mr. Curtis Donald Williams. After 39 years of raising a family together and making a lifetime of memories, he preceded her in death on July 6, 1999.
Nancy was an amazing woman. From her personal drawings of flowers, her love of poetry, and bird watching, Nancy’s love for the simple things in life is evident. Nancy loved needlepoint stitching. Not only did she sew threads to make personal items; she sewed threads of love into her family’s life and these threads will never tear or fray.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Curtis; sisters, Orda King, and Nell Fox; sister-in-law, Shirley King; and brother-in-law, Ross Fox.
Left to cherish her memories are her daughters, Leslie Williams, Lora Dotson and husband Ed, Sherrie King and husband Tim, and Sarah Dotson and husband Jeff; 10 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; brother, Samuel King; and a host of other loving family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association in Kingsport, TN located at 2020 Meadowview Pkwy #100, Kingsport, TN 37660, (423) 928-4080.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm in the chapel of East Lawn Funeral Home.
