Nancy Pauline Gibson

Nancy Pauline Gibson, 84, of Kingsport passed away on Monday, May 23, 2016. Born on June 13, 1931 in Louisville, KY, she was the daughter of the late Frank Hayes and Mary Holland Hayes. Mrs. Gibson was a member of Charity Chapel Baptist Church. After working for over 36 years, she retired as a bus driver from the Sullivan County school system. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Clarence Jackson; her second husband, Everett Gibson; son, Terry Gibson; sister, Polly Huffman; and brothers, Ray Hayes and Burt Hayes. She is survived by her son, Ralph Jackson and his wife, Mary Belle; daughters, Teresa Moore and her husband, Jim; and Helen Gibson and her fiancé, John Holden; grandchildren, Evelyn Jackson Arthur, Keith Jackson and L.J. Moore; great grandchildren, Chris and Amber Arthur; great-great grandchild, Noah Leonard; brothers, Adam, James, Willard and Hiram Hayes; sisters, Betty Bowers, Sue Huffman, Floria Bowers, Margaret Clark, all of Blountville; several nieces and nephews; and special friend, Kathy Mitchell. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Thursday, May 26, 2016 at East Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of East Lawn Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Owens officiating and music provided by the Sluss Family. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 27, 2016 in the Garden of the Mausoleum of East Lawn Memorial Park.
