Survivors include son Andrew Hawkins, daughters Emileah Hawkins and Kyra Hawkins. His children were the love in his life.
Michael also has four brothers, Mac, Billy, Kenny and Jerry. His two sisters Sue Parks and Shirley Phillips. There are a host of other family and friends that will miss him dearly.
Despite battling illness for many years, he stayed active in his community of friends and family. He was a skilled carpenter that was always willing to help those in need. He enjoyed passing his time working on projects, fishing, hunting and playing guitar.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to the Fred Hutch Cancer Center. A visitation for Michael will be held Saturday, December 28, 2024 at 11:00 AM at East Lawn Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 4997 Memorial Blvd, Kingsport, Tennessee 37664. A funeral service will occur Saturday, December 28, 2024 at 1:00 PM. A graveside service will occur Saturday, December 28, 2024 at 2:00 PM.
Serving as pallbearers are Rick Shelton, Weston Shelton, Zac Shelton, Matthew Fauver, Gabriel Fauver and Solomon Reese.
