Mary Lee Milhorn, age 88 of Piney Flats, TN, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 9, 2012 at Holston Manor in Kingsport. Mrs. Milhorn was a native of Glade Springs, VA, and the daughter of the late Lee and Ida Dunn. She was a member of Rocky Springs Missionary Baptist Church. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Haskel Milhorn in 1981, a very special daughter-in-law, Shelia Milhorn, along with several brothers and sisters.
Survivors include: sons: Rickey Milhorn and girlfriend, Janice and Tim Milhorn and wife Tobie; daughters: Lillian Bostic and husband Russell and Judy Adkins; sister, Mabel Cross; grandchildren: Chuck Adkins, Lisa Davis, Jason Duncan, Becky Rouse, Travis Adkins, Jessica Milhorn, Justin Milhorn, Makayla Milhorn, Payton Milhorn and T.J. Milhorn; step-grandchildren: Kegan Bostic and Keeton Bostic; great grandchildren: Hope Cross, Kayla Duncan, Jared Davis, Hunter Rouse, Kaden Duncan, and Zane Davis along with several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 11, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the chapel of East Lawn Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 8:00 p.m. with Pastor Greg Loveless and Pastor Lenny Smith officiating. Music will be under the direction of Kyle and Norma Whittaker. Graveside services will be held on Sunday, August 12, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in Sanders Cemetery in Piney Flats. Pallbearers will be Chuck Adkins, Jason Duncan, Scott Davis, Travis Adkins, Justin Milhorn, Arnold Shipley, Randy Shipley and Don Dow. Everyone is asked to assemble at the cemetery by 1:45 p.m. for the service.
Flowers are welcomed, but for those who prefer, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
