Mary Lee Kidd

Mary Lee Kidd, 94, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 30, 2015, at the Holston Valley Medical Center. She was born on November 28, 1920 in Pulaski, Virginia, the daughter of the late William Kent Robertson and Ina Elizabeth Pruitt Robertson. Mrs. Kidd was a housewife, who was a very loving mother and grandmother. She was a member of Sunnyside Baptist Church and was very active in various ministries, especially organizing the Senior Citizens trips. She loved traveling, sewing and flowers. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Kidd was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Kidd on November 23, 1989; one son, Pierce Wayne Kidd; one daughter, Martha Jane Kidd; three brothers, William Robertson, James Robertson, and Jack Stafford; and two sisters, Geraldine Wagstaff and Eloise Balch.

Survivors include one son, Isaac Kidd and wife Vicki, of Blountville, TN; two daughters, Imogene Bishop and husband Keith, and Faye Taylor and husband Kent, both of Kingsport, TN; nine grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; one sister, Colene Tolbert, of Pulaski, VA; one son-in-law, John Moore, of Bristol, VA; one sister-in-law, Dorothy Semones, of Christiansburg, VA; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 2, 2015 from 12:00pm until 2:00pm at East Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral Service for Mrs. Mary Lee Kidd will be held Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at 2:00pm in the East Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Roy Graves and Pastor Jack Parrott officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden of David at East Lawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be family and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Sunnyside Baptist Church, 406 Cooks Valley Road, Kingsport, TN 37664.
