Mary "Ruth" Stevens Henley

Mary “Ruth” Stevens Henley, 72, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at her residence. Mrs. Henley was born on January 4, 1943 in Kingsport, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Philip and Letitia Stevens. She worked at Eastman Chemical Company, was talented in making wedding cakes, and enjoyed teaching piano lessons. She joins her parents in Heaven.

Survivors include her loving husband of fifty-one years, Thomas J. Henley; her daughter, Kathy Birchfield and husband Chris; her grandson, Philip Birchfield; and two sisters, Louise Pierce and husband Archie and Phyllis Justus and husband Edward.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 24, 2015 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at East Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral Service for Mrs. Mary “Ruth” Stevens Henley will be held Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at 7:00pm in the East Lawn Funeral Home with Reverend Ed Medlin officiating. Graveside Services will be held Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at 2:00pm in the Garden of the Good Shepherd at East Lawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
