To the Sherwood family. While this is a belated condolence to you, I knew Marty several years ago. "Thressie" may remember me. I worked with him at the old Kingsport Press, Rose Printing Co. in Tallahassee, FL and Curtiss Printing Co. in Atlanta. Sorry to hear of his passing but have been out of touch with old friends for quite a number of years. Jean and I will have the family in our prayers. Again our condolences to all or you.

I worked with Adam at Yellowstone as one of his supervisors.  I remember the day Adam got word that his grandfather had take ill sometime late spring.  He was ready to leave and be by his side. I prayed often for your family as Adam struggled with this being so far away. Adam just adored his "Poppy" I believe that was the name he called him. Forgive me if I am wrong. He said how it was his grandfather who encouraged him to take this job. Adam said how much he loved the Lord.  So much of his grandfather is in him, from what I read.  Your legacy Martin will continue through your family.  The angels sang songs of glory when you entered the peace of your eternal home. I feel blessed to have met your grandson, tho ever so briefly. God Bless you all as you grieve your loss.

So very sorry to hear of your loss. Martin was my cousin and it has been many many years since I saw him. I can remember as a young teenager driving to Tennessee from St Louis to visit his Mom and Dad. I can also remember visiting with my oldest Son Steve when he was only about 2 yrs old, feeding Martin's Mom's goats. I wish famililes didn't have to be so far apart, I would have been priviledged to have known my cousin as an adult. He sounds like he was an awesome Father and Grandfather. God bless you all. Martin and I were coworkers at Food City for a number of years and my last couple years there, he was my boss at Gas'n Go(though Martin was NEVER anyone's "boss"). Because of the nearness of our ages and our love of the St. Louis Cardinals, we had many memorable conversations. After I left, I always enjoyed visiting with Martin when I went back to Food City to shop. He was a wonderful man and I'll miss him a lot. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time of your great loss.
