Margaret T. Ingraham, 106, passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 2015, at the Indian Path Medical Center. Mrs. Ingraham was born on February 17, 1908 in Jefferson County, Alabama, the daughter of the late Daniel and Mae Tachoir. She was the oldest child of six children and graduated from St. Vincent’s Hospital School of Nursing in 1935 and moved to Knoxville, Tennessee, where she worked as night supervisor at St. Mary’s Hospital. She worked at the University of Tennessee Student Hospital until 1945, when she came to Kingsport. Mrs. Ingraham was a member of Mountain View United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ingraham was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-four years, Russell W. Ingraham; son, Edward R. Ingraham; and three sisters, Louise Vance, Gladys Smitherman and Helen Jordan. Survivors include daughter-in-law, Joanne Ingraham, of Jonesborough, TN; two grandchildren, Alexandra Warmath and husband Zach, of Kingsport, TN and Kevin Slagle, of Jonesborough, TN; two sisters, Dolores Shoemaker and Lillie Peoples, both of Alabama; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Saturday, February 7, 2015 from 11:00am until 12:00pm at the Mountain View United Methodist Church, 4405 Orebank Road, Kingsport, TN. Funeral Services for Mrs. Margaret T. Ingraham will be held Saturday, February 7, 2015 at 12:00pm at the Mountain View United Methodist Church with Rev. Samuel Ward officiating. Entombment will follow in Mausoleum I at East Lawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
