Margaret B Davis

Mrs. Margaret Beard Davis, age 92, of Colonial Heights, Kingsport passed away Saturday, October 15, 2011 at her home. She was a native of Washington County, TN. and a daughter of the late H.M. Beard, Sr. and Sue Brown Beard. In addition to her parents Mrs. Davis was also preceded in death by husband of 46 years, Kelly Davis; her sister, Mary Beard Martin and her brother, Hobert M. Beard Jr. Mrs. Davis was employed at the Kingsport Press for 42 years. She was also a long time member of Colonial Heights United Methodist Church

Survivors include her niece, Sonia S. King and her husband James M. King of Johnson City; her nephew Mike Beard and wife Debbie of Jonesborough; brother in-law James C. Martin of Johnson City; great-nieces Melanie Rogers, and her husband (Glenn) and Shannon Nelson and her husband (Andy).

The Davis will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 PM. Tuesday October 18, 2011 at East Lawn Funeral Home with funeral services to follow at 2:00 PM. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Robert Burlingham officiating.
