Mable J. Harrison Edwards

Mable J. Harrison Edwards, 97, a resident of Blountville, TN for 58 years went to be with her Lord on March 26, 2013 at the Bristol TN Wellmont Hospice House. She was a wife, homemaker and mother of eight who loved gardening, beautiful flowers and her needle works. She was of the Pentecostal faith.

In addition to her parents, Jim and Ethel Harrison and four brothers, she is preceded in death by her husband of 69 ½ years, E.B. Edwards, four sons: Banner A (1958), James L (1986), Robert W (2008) Billy J (2008), and five grandchildren: James Jr, Mark, and Timmy Edwards, and Melissa and Jimmy Pruett.

Survivors include 1 brother: Emmett Harrison, Bristol, 3 sisters: Mary Herington and Nancy Richardson of Bristol and Vernice Olson of Michigan, 4 children: Doris Hobbs and husband Lynn, Phyllis Dean and husband Elgin, Lorene Pruett, and John (Tony) Edwards and wife Debbie, twenty grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, as well as several great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend a special “Thank You” to the nurses and staff of the Wellmont Hospice House for their extraordinary compassion, love and care!

The family will receive friends Friday, March 29, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at East Lawn Funeral Home, with funeral services to follow at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at East Lawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Wellmont Hospice House in Bristol, TN.
