Linda Zeigler Flanagan, age 69 of Kingsport, was welcomed into her heavenly home on Saturday, March 26, 2016. Linda was born to the late Emmett and Mary Cobb Earley on August 30, 1946 in Kingsport. She worked as a food service worker for over 25 years and she attended First Assembly of God in Kingsport. Linda was a devout Christian and she cherished her children and her family. She loved reading and spending time with her friends; she was truly a great friend to many.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Kenneth Earley; and one sister, Marie Townsend. Left to cherish her memories and continue her legacy are her two daughters, Rhonda Maultbay and husband Brian, and Cheryl Reeve and husband Daryl; three sisters, Shirley Dolen and husband Herbert, Harriet Chapman and husband Wayne, and Wilma Reynolds; five grandchildren, Amber Turner, Kristin Maultbay, Brittany Thompson, Emily Reeve, and Hailey Reeve; three great grandchildren, Kameron Maultbay Turner, Sophia Maultbay Mullins, and Amelia Thompson; and three close friends, Sally Rheinbolt, Emily Franklin, and Brenda Tomlinson. The family would like to send a special thank you to the staff of Welmont Hospice House in Bristol and the nurses and doctors at Kingsport Hematology and Oncology.
The family will receive friends on Friday, April 1, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at East Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. immediately following visitation in the Chapel of East Lawn Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Wright officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Daryl Reeve, Brian Maultbay, Dave Thompson, Joey Kellett, and Gary Dolen. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Herbert Dolen and Wayne Chapman.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 1, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at East Lawn Memorial Park in the Garden of Apostles. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in Memphis, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
