Leigh Jean Perry, 84, entered into the loving arms of Jesus during the evening hours of Saturday (April 25, 2020) surrounded by her loving family. Jean was born on July 9, 1935 in Blountville, TN to the late Fred Irue & Minnie Roxie (Doran) Roller.
Jean was a life-long member of Blountville Christian Church. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, crafting, and spending time with her family and friends. She was a free-hearted lady and spent her life helping others. Jean was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother; sister; aunt, and friend; she will be greatly missed.
In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Darrell W. Perry; brother, W.P. Roller; and three sisters, Jessie Mae Coates, Juanita Roller, and Bertha Barnes.
Left to cherish her memory are her two sons, Keith Perry and James “Jim” Perry; daughter, Sharon Little & husband Doug; three grandchildren, Ashley Grindstaff, Hilary Perry, and Laurel Penley; three great-grandchildren, Andrew, Emery, and Cora Grindstaff; several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
Jean will be entombed on Thursday, April 30, 2020 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Memories at East Lawn Memorial Park with Bro. David Dotson officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be sent to The Bridge Home No Kill Animal Rescue (2061 TN-75, Blountville, TN 37617).
