Katina Lee Barnett

Katina Lee Barnett, age 62, of Kingsport, entered into rest on Saturday, December 28, 2013 at the Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center. Mrs. Barnett was a Sullivan County native. She retired from Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center as a nurse after 44 ½ years of service. Katina was a beloved member A-400. She was called “Mother Hen” by her many patients and co-workers. One of her favorite past times was reading. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Barnett and a son, Ronald Keith Barnett. Survivors include her son, Jonathan Barnett; brothers: Nick DePew and William Crawford; a sister, Rebecca Crawford; grandson, Josiah Barnett; best friend, Phyllis Price, along with several nieces and nephews. The family of Katina Lee Barnett will receive friends on Friday, January 3, 2014 from 12 noon until 2:00 pm. in the chapel of East Lawn Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Clint Andrews, officiating. Interment will follow in East Lawn Memorial Park.
