Kathy Ann Hayter, age 73, of Kingsport, Tennessee passed away on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at Holston Valley Medical Center after a battle with cancer.
She graduated from Virginia High School, and retired from Lowe's of Kingsport after many years of service. Kathy had a great love for her flower gardens and all animals. She enjoyed going to the mountains and the beach.
Preceding her in passing is her mother, Blanche Nelson.
She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Mark Hayter; son: Todd Maxfield; granddaughter: Creek Pine; step-sons: Robert Ryan (Lillie) Hayter and Mitchell Cody (Megan) Hayter; step-grandchildren: Trinity, William, Jesse and Allen Hayter. And her beloved teddy bears Tommy and Chloe.
Visitation will be Tuesday, January 2, 2024 from 9:00 am until 11:00 am at East Lawn Funeral Home. Burial will be held at 3:00 PM in East Lawn Memorial Park in the Everlasting Life III Garden.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Kathy's name to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or any local animal shelter/rescue center.
