Judy C. Smith

Judy C. Smith, age 67, entered into rest June 21, 2012 at Holston Valley Medical Center. She was born in Hiltons, VA, and a daughter to the late Walker Clarence and Emma Grace Gilreath Smith. Judy was a resident of Gate City. She was a member of Darthula Baptist Church in Hiltons, VA. She was a born again Christian. Judy was employed with the Scott County Recreation Department. Judy was an avid supporter of Relay for Life. Survivors include her sons, Walker Harris who is stationed in Vicenza, Italy with his wife Nancy Harris, Tommy Harris and wife Karla of Gate City, Rick Harris and wife Natasha of Gate City; nine grandchildren, Kristin, Alesa, Angelina, Jacob, Issabella, Michael, Christopher, Isaiah, Destiny; two brothers, Kenneth Wayne Smith and wife Frankie of Gate City, Larry Morgan Smith and wife Jackie of Church Hill; sister, Donna Jean Maultbay of Church Hill. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, June 30, 2012 at Darthula Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Darthula Baptist Church or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
