John Junior “Big John” Fauver, age 83, went home to be with the Lord, April 5, 2012 at the Wellmont Hospice House, Bristol of congestive heart failure. He was a lifelong resident of Blountville, Tn.; son of the late John Harrison Fauver and Tessie Malone Fauver. John was retired from the Meade Paper Company where he was employed as a journeyman pipe fitter. At the age of 13 he accepted Christ as his Savior at Reedy Creek Presbyterian Church, and was currently a member of Temple Baptist Church in Bristol, Tn. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lee Fauver; son, Eddie Dean Fauver, sister, Elizabeth “Cookie” Barger, daughters-in-law, Lannie Mae Fauver and Cindy Fauver.
Survivors include his wife of thirteen years, Geraldine Fauver of Blountville; two sons, Larry Keith Fauver of Blountville, Jerry Steven Fauver and his wife Carolyn of Kingsport; four step-sons, Rex Michael Leonard of Belize, South America, Randy Lynn Leonard, Charles Gary Leonard both of Monticello, Indiana, Jerry Lynn Leonard of Rensselaer, Indiana; one sister, Mary Sue Smithey and her husband Johnny of Blountville, several grandchildren; great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends today, Friday, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at East Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, at East Lawn Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow.
