Joan Ecker Marsh

Joan Ecker Marsh, 89, of Greeneville, TN, entered into the loving arms of Jesus and joined her husband, John, on December 27, 2020. She was born on July 22, 1931 in Brooklyn, NY to Albert and Ann (Powers) Ecker.

She enjoyed bookkeeping and was past treasurer for the Girl Scouts, square dancing, and doll clubs. Joan also enjoyed reading, sewing, and shopping.

Joan is preceded in death by her loving husband of 68 years, John D. Marsh; son, Timothy Marsh; and parents, Ann Powers and Albert Ecker.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Thomas Marsh, Beth Ann Habermas & husband Thomas, and Tad Marsh & wife Rhonda; brother, Gerard Ecker; brother-in-law, Joe Marsh; sister-in-law, Catherine Decker; eight grandchildren, Nicole Elam, Erika Marsh, Taylor Marsh, Jordan Marsh, John Habermas, Maggie Habermas, Will Habermas, and Katie Habermas; “furry-friend”, Angel; several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

Joan will be laid to rest with her husband at Mt. Home National Cemetery, Johnson City, TN on Friday, January 8, 2021 at 11:00am with Fr. Michael Cummins officiating.
