Jimmy Edward Arnold

Jimmy Edward Arnold, 77, of Kingsport, passed away on Thursday, December 10, 2015 at the Wexford House in Kingsport, Tennessee. Born on November 29, 1938 in Sullivan County, he was the son of the late Charlie Arnold and Mary Christian Arnold. In addition to his parents, Charlie and Mary Christian Arnold, he was preceded in death by his sister Lorene Rhoton; and brothers, Charlies Arnold, Jr., Kenneth Arnold and Joe Arnold. He is survived by his daughter, Sherry Blevins and her husband, Steven of Winter Park, FL; grandsons, Aaron Blevins and his wife, Amanda of Oviedo, FL and Jeremy Blevins and his wife, Nicole of Altamonte Springs, FL; great-grandsons, Kaleb Blevins and Liam Blevins, both of Oviedo, FL; sisters, Geneva Vance of Elk Park, NC, Susan Woods of Church Hill, TN and Ruth Holtsclaw of Newland, NC; brothers, Jack Arnold and his wife, Mary of Titusville, FL and Johnny Arnold and his wife, Carolyn of Kingsport; and his special friend and companion, Diane Akers and her sons, Joshua Hash and Jason Hash, and granddaughter, Emilee Hash; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 9:30-11:00 a.m., Monday morning, December 14, 2015 at East Lawn Funeral Home, Kingsport, Tennessee. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of East Lawn Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Garden of Hope of East Lawn Memorial Park. Family and friends will honor Mr. Arnold by serving as pallbearers.
