My heart goes out to you now. I can't call it a loss because he's not gone. Uncle Jerry will be by your side as always.  He will be with you in spirit till you see him again. Not even death can stop a love like the one you two have. I have all the respect and love for the both of you. I'm sorry I couldn't be there for you and Uncle Jerry.

I can't believe you’re gone. You were a fantastic dad and role model. Some of my best memories are going to work with you, camping & long road trips. I'll always miss you.

My earliest memory of Jerry was when Pam and I were around 18 or 19. We had to borrow his truck to move into an apartment in Addison TX. We all gathered around with Pam to ask her dad if we could borrow the truck. He turned to me and gave me the keys, saying you’re responsible. Scared me to have the responsibility of driving his truck across town loaded down with furniture and belongings. It was probably the first time I spoke to Jerry and have no idea why he chose me over anyone else. Five years later I had to ask permission to marry his daughter. It was huge relief to get his blessings. Jerry was an example of what a man should be, dedicated to family, friends and most importantly his wife.  We will miss you.

The house in Garland was always full of the kids and their friends not to mention Charlie living in the camper out back. JR would decorate the outside of the house with Redskins gear for the Cowboy & Redskins games trying to get a rise out the neighbors or anyone driving by the house. 
 I spent weekends in Oklahoma in their apartment using the excuse I had to get out of town to shake off the hustle and bustle of Dallas. Really I was just going there to stay close to Pam. 
We always had a place we could fall back on if all else failed.
 The 50th anniversary is probably my last big memory. We got to meet Jerry & Mary’s lifelong friends and family. Getting through the holidays is sometimes a challenge much less 50 years.
 Jerry was an example of what a man should be, dedicated to family, friends and most importantly his wife.  We will miss you.

I am so sorry for your loss. I was one of the dialysis nurses that use to take care of Jerry. He was a great man with a smile always on his face. It was my pleasure getting to take care of him. He will be missed by all of us. You all are in my thoughts and prayers during this time.

Jerry was such a nice man, no matter how bad he felt he always smiled and made you feel better. I'm one of the many dialysis nurses that cared for him at the center and hospital. May be pease of our lord comfort you.
