Jerry Lee Dawn

Jerry Lee Dawn, 68, passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2015 at the Holston Valley Medical Center. Mr. Dawn was born on August 24, 1946 in Kingsport, Tennessee, the son of the late Robert Lee Dawn and Cynthia Ensor Dawn. He was of the Baptist Faith and had retired from Eastman with over twenty-five years of service. Mr. Dawn was a veteran of the United States Navy and served during Vietnam. He graduated from Northeast State with double degrees and was an avid fisher who loved the outdoors.

Survivors include his mother, Cynthia Ensor Dawn; one daughter, Melissa Dawn Sokol; one grandson, Lucas Sokol; one son, Todd Dawn; and one brother, Gary Grant Dawn.The family will receive friends Monday, August 3, 2015 from 12:00pm until 1:00pm at East Lawn Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will follow at 1:00pm in the East Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Frank Waldo officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden of Devotion at East Lawn Memorial Park with military honors to be rendered by the American Legion Hammond Post #3 and Gate City Post #265. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675.
