James W. Weaver, age 89 of Kingsport, entered into eternity on Monday, May 27, 2019. James was born on March 14, 1930 in Kingsport, TN to Willie and Myrtle Coats Weaver. James proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Army.
James was a hard worker and a family man. He enjoyed basketball and baseball, especially watching the Cincinnati Reds, and he also enjoyed NASCAR. James loved spending time with his family; his son Larry and himself hitched hiked from Ohio to Texas one year, just to spend time together as father and son. James loved his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He always took time for each of them and it always made them special. He treated them equally; as he loved them all equally. James enjoyed traveling and watching old western shows.
James was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Perry Weaver; sisters, Louis Jones, Grace Fegans, Blanche Monttern, and Mary Ellen Farmer; daughter-in-law, Donna Weaver; and brothers-in-law, Herman Jones and Paul Henley.
