Larry was born in Kingsport, TN. He lived in Kingsport, TN all his life growing up in the community he and his family developed.
Larry was a member of Indian Springs Baptist Church. He was known for his work ethic, generosity, & love for his family, extended family, & friends.
Larry was an Electrician, Land Developer & Home Builder in the Indian Springs community. He was employed by UPM (King Pharmaceuticals) of Bristol for the last 18 years.
Larry met his lifelong friend and the love of his life, Lynda Weaver Hilton, when Larry was 14 & Lynda was 13. Larry & Lynda were married 48 years but have loved each other for 57 years.
Larry enjoyed car shows, camping, yardwork, planting his garden & working on projects.
Larry was preceded in death by his Parents C.T. & Florence Hilton, Birth Parents James Martin & Nevada Cole, & Brother David Price.
Survivors include his Wife Lynda Hilton,
Daughters: Jennifer Hilton, Colleen Cox, Christina McCann, & Kanisha Bellamy
Granddaughters: Jalyn Hilton-Abernathy & Judith Hilton-Abernathy
Sister: Phillis Robbins
Brothers: Lonnie (Louise) Sampson, Ray (Donna) Hilton, Joe (Judy) Cole
Sister-In-Law: Ellen Price
Larry had several Nieces, Nephews, Great Nieces & Great Nephews.
Larry loved his Granddaughters Jalyn & Judith. Both held a special place in his heart.
Larry considered his Nephews, Matthew Price & Clinton Miller, his sons and loved them fiercely as a father figure.
Calling Hours will be Friday April 26, 2019 from 5:30 – 7:30 at East Lawn Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be Saturday April 27, 2019 at 11:00 at East Lawn Funeral Home with Dr. David Phillips officiating.
Graveside service will follow at East Lawn Memorial Park in the Christus Garden.
Serving as pallbearers will be Larry’s Nephews & Close Friend.
