Bud was born February 9, 1938, in Montezuma, NC to the late Thomas Gayton & Eva Pearl (Franklin) Marshall.
He was a graduate of Avery County High School. He retired from Eastman Chemical Company. He is a lifetime active member of the Kingsport Lifesaving Crew serving over 50 years currently as Chaplain. He is a member of Sunnyside Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 59½ years, Gail H. Marshall, his daughters Kimberly Marshall, Jada Bolden (David), and Deana Marshall, one sister, Betty Harris (Bob), several cousins, nieces and nephews, and his animals.
Left to also cherish Bud’s memory are his special friends, Helen Boyd and Paul Jennings.
The family will receive friends, Saturday December 16, 2023, from 12:00-2:00 at East Lawn Memorial Park, 4997 Memorial Blvd. Kingsport, TN 37664.
Funeral Service will begin at 2:00 with Rev. Wayne Baker and Rev. David Bolden officiating. Special music by Martha France.
Rescue Squad graveside services will immediately follow conducted by TARS Honor Guard. Pallbearers will be Paul Jennings, Jim Sells, Jack Almony, Lloyd Baker, Terry Tilson, Travis Williams.
Honorary pallbearers are Albie Calhoun and Joe Arnold.
