Emma Faye Carr, age 84, of Blountville, passed away on Sunday, August 13, 2017 at Bristol Memorial Hospital. She was born on February 11, 1933 in Bristol, Tennessee to the late Clifford Burnett and the late Margaret Harkleroad Burnette. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband John H. Carr; daughter: Cindy Townsend; son-in-law: Ernest Whitson; sister: Frances Parker; two brothers: Oscar Burnette and A.J. Burnette.
Faye leaves behind to honor her legacy, four daughters: Mary Moye and husband Jerry, Carol Whitson, Melissa Mabe and husband Eddie, Linda Larkins and husband James; three brothers: Paul Burnette, Sid Burnette, and Harold Burnette; two sisters: Ruby Stout and Ann Lukens; eight grandchildren: John Leonard, Brian Phelps, Misty Lester, Joy Kaywood, Rachel Walker, Todd Estep, Amanda Estep and Kelly Estep; ten great-grandchildren: Kayla Whitson, Landon Walker, Brianna Lester, Trevor Estep, Hailie Lester, Bridgett Estep, Anna Whitson, Lee Ann Phelps, Will Whitson, Keelie Estep.
The family will receive friend on Thursday, August 17, 2017 from 11:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. with the funeral immediately following at 12:00 P.M. at Redeemer Lutheran Church with Rev. Harold Burnette officiating. She will be laid to rest on Thursday, August 17, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. in the Blountville Cemetery with Eddie Mabe, Brian Phelps, Will Whitson, Todd Estep, Trevor Carroll, Matt Walker serving as pallbearers. John Leonard, Landon Walker, Jerry Moye, Jamie Stout, Tommy Burnette and Sidney Burnette will be serving as honorary pallbearers.
