Ellen Kathleen Brown

Ellen Kathleen Brown, 81, was received into the arms of Jesus during the early morning hours of Saturday (July 14, 2018) following an extended illness. Kathleen was born on June 6, 1937 in Kingsport, TN to the late Thomas & Oma Roberts.

Kathleen loved the Lord, and was a faithful member of Come as You Are Ministry. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and spending time with her family and friends. Kathleen was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend; she will be greatly missed.

In addition to her parents, Kathleen was preceded in death by two sisters, Joan and Claria Roberts; and three brothers, Clyde, Harold “Buddy”, and Phillip Roberts.

Left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Penny Ramey; three sons, Mark Salyers & wife Sophia, Allen Salyers, and Joey Salyers & wife Marivie; sister, Ruth Crawford; brother, Warner Roberts, Sr.; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one great great-grandchild; several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday (July 17, 2018) from 5 to 7 pm at East Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow in the chapel of East Lawn at 7 pm with Pastor Bart Fowler officiating.

Committal services will be held on Wednesday (July 18, 2018) at 10 am in the Garden of the Well at East Lawn Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers will be Charles Casey III, Charles Casey, Keith Ferguson, James Simpson, Thomas Willis, and Mitch Roberts.
