Edward Todd Greene

Edward Todd Greene, 58, of Kingsport, passed away on Sunday, August 15, 2021 at the Johnson City Medical Center after injuries sustained from a car accident. He was born to Carl Edward Greene and the late Margaret Elizabeth (Shipp) Greene in Sullivan County on May 14, 1963.

Edward was a member of Port City Baptist Church. He was a dedicated employee of Eastman Chemical Company where he spent 29 years as a utility operator. In his free time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and woodworking. Edward was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend to all who knew him.

In addition to his mother he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Robert Lee and Rose Shipp; paternal grandparents, Hubert and Kate Greene.

Survivors include his loving wife of 37 years Cathy Greene; daughter, Shelby Lynne Greene; son, Zachary Todd Greene; father, Carl Edward Greene; and brother, Mark Allen Greene; fur babies, "Baby Girl" Bella and "Doofus" Cash.

The Greene family will gather to greet friends and share memories on Thursday, August 19, 2021 in the Chapel of East Lawn Funeral Home from 5 pm - 7 pm. A Funeral Service will follow at 7 pm with Pastor Chris Alford officiating. Committal Service and Interment will take place on Friday, August 20, 2021 in the Garden of the Good Shepard in East Lawn Memorial Park beginning at 11am. Steve Walters, Joey Renfro, Scott Gilbert, Greg Campbell,Todd Joyce, Stan Richards, Moustapha Cisse, Tyler Hilton, and Lenny Leonard will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers the Greene family has requested that donations be made in Edward’s memory to Vanderbilt Kidney-Pancreas Transplant Center. 1301 Medical Center Dr. Suite 2501A, Nashville TN, 37232.
