Edna R. Hutson, 89, passed away on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 surrounded by family. Born April 15, 1930 in Sullivan County to George and Ethel Cavin. She was a loving wife of 61 years, mom, and Mamaw.
She enjoyed making quilts, cooking for her family, raising flowers, and sitting on her back porch with a cup of coffee. Edna was a friend to all and loved everybody.
Edna is preceded in death by her husband, Christopher C. Hutson; her parents, George and Ethel Cavin; brothers, Lloyd, Sevier and Robert Cavin; sisters, Irene Cavin, Stella Bear, and Shirl Cox.
Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Terry Hutson and wife Gail; daughter, Robin Easley and husband Bill; grandchildren, Scott Hutson and Rita, April Easley-Glover and husband Aaron, Amber Hutson-Wilson and husband Trent, Matt Easley and wife Katie; great-grandchildren, Addie Glover, Audrey, Bentley, and Charlee Cate Easley; brother, Ray Cavin; special niece Sharon Edwards and special nephew Ricky Bear; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 2, 2020 from 12:00 to 2:00pm at East Lawn Funeral Home. A Celebration of Edna’s Life will follow at 2:00pm with Brother Danny Dolan officiating.
Edna will be laid to rest beside her husband following the celebration service at East Lawn Memorial Park in the Garden of David.
Serving as pallbearers will be Scott Hutson, Matt Easley, Trent Wilson, Aaron Glover, Donnie Bingham, Ricky Bear, Mike Hutson and Michael Edwards.
The family would like to express a heartfelt “Thank You” to the staff of Smoky Mountain Hospice for their care and support during this difficult time.
