Edith B. Osborne Moore

Edith B. Moore, age 94, of Kingsport went home to be with the Lord on June 1, 2010. She was born April 23, 1916 in Scott Co., VA to the late Jeff and Allie Osborne and has resided in Kingsport for most of her life.

She was a devoted Christian who loved the Lord and her children.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Samuel W. Moore, sons, Frank W. Moore and Sammy Moore, brothers, RJ Osborne, Caner Osborne, and Leonard Osborne and sisters Helen Neeley and Addie Sage,

She is survived by daughters Evelyn Jane Myers, Barbara Templeton and husband Melvin, Brenda Gilliam and husband Samuel, Sandra Minor and husband Jerry, Freda McGrady and husband Daryl, and Nancy Salyer and husband David, son, Bob W. Moore and wife Vickie and Jerry Moore and wife Judy, 25 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and 5 great great-grandchildren, sister Lois Chase.

The family will receive friends Thursday, June 3, 2010 at East Lawn Funeral Home from 6-8pm. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, June 4, 2010 at 1pm at Good Shepherd Church with Pastor Robert Fletcher officiating. Graveside services will follow at East Lawn Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers are Roger Myers, David Templeton, Richard Gilliam, Mykal Moore, Eric Salyer and Kris McGrady and honorary pallbearer will be Jeremy Minor.
