Douglas Lee Patton Jr.

He worked for more than 30 years at the Press as a press and machine operator. Buster loved his children and grandchildren. His hobbies included fishing, camping and being with his grandchildren.

Buster is preceded in death by his father, Douglas Lee Patton, Sr.; brothers, Eugene Patton and Fredrick Patton; sister, Joyce Ann Patton; and grandparents, Theodore and Atha Patton.

Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Lisa Patton Thompson and partner, Glenn Rice; son, Sonny Patton and wife Ashley; his mother, Louise Walley; his significant other, Sherry Horne; brother, Dwight Patton; sisters, Sherri Patton, Brenda Patton and Kim Thompson and husband Jamie; grandchildren, Laken Thompson, Owen Patton, Lily Patton, Gabe Patton, and Brycen Fugate; the mother of his children, Brenda Herndon; uncle, Harold Patton and wife Kazel; cousin, Ida “Pinkie” Patton; and a host of other family and friends, including those at the campground, too many to list.

Buster will be laid to rest on Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at 3:00pm with Dwight Shaffer officiating.
