Dorothy E. Huff, 82, went to be with the Lord after an extended illness on Monday, December 22, 2014, at the Church Hill Health Care. Mrs. Huff was born on October 17, 1932 in Kingsport, Tennessee the daughter of the late Willie Herron and Mary Ellen Guy Herron. She attended the Gospel Assembly Church and retired with over twenty-five years of service as a cook at First Presbyterian Church of Kingsport. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Huff; and several relatives. Survivors include two sons, Freddie Glenn Huff and wife Mary Jeanette and Danny Huff and wife Sharon; two daughters, Patricia Huff and Deborah Christine Burnett and husband Michael; eight grandchildren, Susan White, Karen Boehm, Amy Frey, Jason Huff, Brian Huff, Isaac Atkins, Joshua Atkins and Seth Atkins; sixteen great grandchildren; one brother, Bud Herron and wife Norma; two sisters, Lillian Thompson and husband Earl and Faye Thompson and husband Hugh; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Friday, December 26, 2014 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at the East Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral Services for Mrs. Dorothy E. Huff will be held Friday, December 26, 2014 at 7:00pm in the East Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor LeAnder Ray officiating. Graveside Services will be held Saturday, December 27, 2014 at 11:00am in the Garden of Everlasting Life II at East Lawn Memorial Park.
