Donna Gwynne Barton

Donna Gwynne Barton, 58, passed away at her home on Monday (January 8, 2018). Donna was born on August 31, 1959 to Daniel Claude & Mary Frank (Hendry) Coakley in Greeneville, TN.

Donna was a 1977 graduate of Ketron High School. Donna was a dedicated hairdresser and Instructor for 38 years. Donna found solace in helping others. She loved to quilt, travel to the beach, camping, and spending time with her family and friends. Donna was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend; she will be greatly missed.

Left to cherish her memories are her loving husband of 28 years, Tony Barton; son, Dylan Barton & wife Megan; two daughters, Morgan Barton & Johnny Whitaker and Carissa Dunaway & husband Jacob; three grandchildren, Josie Dunaway, Anissa Dunaway, and Thomas Whitaker; parents, Daniel & Mary Coakley twin sister, Debby Lilly; brother, Chris Coakley & wife Karena; many best-friends; several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

The family will greet guests and share memories on Thursday (January 11, 2018) from 5 to 7 p.m. at East Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. in the chapel with Pastor Rick Vannoy officiating.

Donna will be laid to rest on Friday (January 12, 2018) at 11 a.m. in the Garden of Prayer at East Lawn Memorial Park. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
