Donald Ray Moore

Donald Ray Moore, age 79 of Kingsport, passed into eternal rest during the morning hours of Saturday, December 5, 2015. Donald was born to the late Hugh & Lola Moore on July 17, 1936 in Kingsport,TN. Donald married Wyheva Edwards Moore in 1957, and after 42 years of marriage she preceded him in death in 1999. Donald lived his life to serve the Lord. He loved his church community with all his heart. Donald served as a Deacon at Andrew Memorial Church in Kingsport for many years. He will be greatly missed by all. In addition to his wife and parents, Donald is preceded in death by three brothers, Joe, Johnny and Robert Moore. Donald is survived by his daughter, Brenda Moore; three sons, Doyle & wife Tammy, Doug, and Donald & wife Sushila Moore; seven grandchildren, Nick & wife Hannah, Lydia, Callie, Camey, Miles, Stephanie, and Haley Moore; two brothers, Kyle and Kenneth Moore; several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends. The family will receive friends on Tuesday (December 8, 2015) from 11:30 to 1:30 pm at East Lawn Funeral Home, Kingsport, Tennessee. The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation in the Chapel of East Lawn Funeral Home, with Pastors Ray Bledsoe and Clint Hensley officiating. Committal services will be on Tuesday (December 8, 2015) at 3 p.m. following the funeral service at Oak Hill Memorial Park. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Bob Stokes, Tom Fleenor, and Clint Hensley. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Indian Path Medical Center for the care and kindness shown to Donald during his time of need, especially Linda Austin.
