Daniel King

Daniel “Danny” King 64, went to be with the Lord on January 9th, 2020 in Lakeland, FL. Danny was born and raised in Kingsport, TN and resided there until 2012 when he moved to Lakeland, FL with his Father and Mother. He was part of the 1976 Class of Ketron High School and attended East Tennessee State University. He was an active member of the Heritage First Church of God (Kingsport, TN) and an avid University of Tennessee Volunteer fan.

Danny is preceded in death by his father, Carl F. King

He is survived by his mother, Opal P. King (Lakeland, FL); brother, David King and wife Leigh Anne (Lakeland, FL); nephew, Michael King, wife Jessica, and great nephew Colin (Orlando, FL); and nephew Nathaniel King and wife Laura (Port St. Lucie, FL). The family requests that in lieu of flowers that you “pay it forward” and be kind to someone in need.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 25, 2020 from 11:00 to 11:30am at Heritage First Church of God, 470 Rock Springs Rd., Kingsport, TN 37663. A Celebration of Life will follow at 11:30am.

Danny will be laid to rest on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at 1:00pm at East Lawn Memorial Park, 4997 Memorial Park, Kingsport, TN 37664, in the Garden of Good Shephard.
