Clara Louise Moore Moore Robinette

Clara Louise Moore Robinette, 89, a resident of Preston Place Suites, passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2015, at the Holston Valley Medical Center. Mrs. Robinette was born on June 18, 1925 in Bristol, Virginia, the daughter of the late Rennie Moore and Clara Crap Moore. Mrs. Robinette was a devoted wife of 64 years and a loving mother to her six children. She graduated from Bristol Virginia High School, where she marched in the band, and was a member of the Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Bristol, Virginia, where she sang in the choir. She loved gardening, bird-watching, music, friends, and family, especially her four daughters. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Robinette was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Robinette; sons, Ronnie and Donnie Robinette; sisters, Della Parker and Flora Moore; and brother, Ellwood Moore. Survivors include her beloved four daughters and sons-in-law, Becky Bishop and husband Tom, Theresa White and husband Bruce, Mary Ripley and husband Dick and Jeannie Salyer and husband Daryl; eight grandchildren, Kevin and Andrew Bishop, Amy White Stout and her husband Matt, Ryan White, Benjamin, Jacob, Joshua and Brandon Salyer; and one great granddaughter, Abigail Stout. The family will receive friends Friday, January 9, 2015 from 12:00pm until 2:00pm at East Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral Services for Mrs. Clara Louise Moore Robinette will be held Friday, January 9, 2015 at 2:00pm in the East Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with her nephew Dr. Thomas S. Moore officiating. Burial will follow in the Christus Garden of East Lawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be family and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Preston Place Suites or to the Palmer Center Foundation, founded from the Palmer Center School where her two sons, who had muscular dystrophy, attended school in the 1960s.
