Cecil Ray Sexton

Cecil was born in Scott County, VA to the late Luther and Lula Sexton. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother. Cecil ran a produce stand on John B. Dennis for more than 30 years. He raised two grandchildren until 2015, loved the outdoors, and always helped anyone in need. Cecil never met a stranger.

He is preceded in death by his wife Terry Sexton; parents, Lula and Luke Sexton; sisters, Louise Crowe and Lois Sieber; and brothers, Harold Sexton, Bruce Sexton, and Worley Sexton.

Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Christina Winston (Chris); sons, Ray Sexton (Dorothy), Kelly Sexton (Patty), Jeff Sexton (Trish), Timmy Sexton, Wade Sexton, and David Langrel; sisters, Patsy Cassell, Lois Lynn Sexton and Sandra Kay Sexton; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 27, 2018 from 5:00 to 7:00pm at East Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7:00pm with Pastor Eugene Sexton and Evangelist Mark Sexton officiating. Music provided by Mark and Paige Sexton.

Cecil will be entombed on Friday, December 28, 2018 at 11:00am at East Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum II. Pallbearers will be Allen Sexton, Daniel Sexton, Junior Dockery, Ronald Begley Jr., Josh Sexton and Andy Sexton. Honorary pallbearers will be Timothy Sexton Jr. and Austin Williams.
