Brenda Marshall, age 71 of Kingsport, was taken up into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, during the morning hours of Sunday, April 15, 2018. Brenda was born on July 8, 1946 in Kingsport, TN to James and Genola Bellamy.
Brenda worked as a nurse for many years before retiring from Holston Medical Group. She enjoyed many things in her life; however, her most cherished moments in her life were watching her grandchildren play sports. She was their biggest fan and she could always be seen cheering them on. Brenda was active in her community and she volunteered in the gift shop at Indian Path Medical Center. Brenda’s smile and amazing personality will be missed by all those who knew her.
Brenda was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 25 years, Thomas Marshall; the father of her children, Robert E. Harless; and sister, Jolene Mullins. Left to cherish Brenda’s memory are her son, Bobby Harless and wife Wendy; daughter, Amy Burke and fiancé Charlie Weaver; grandchildren, Caleb Harless, Joseph Harless, and Samuel Harless; brother, Freddy Bellamy and wife Sherry; sister, Bobbie Jo France and husband Victor; several nieces and nephews; special friend, Donald Parker; and grand-dog, Lexi.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the chapel at East Lawn Funeral Home; funeral services will be held at 7:00 pm immediately following the visitation. Interment services will be held on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at 2:00 pm at East Lawn Memorial Park in the Garden of Love. Serving as pallbearers will be Charlie Weaver, Bill Bruner, Cody Bruner, Darin Malone, Caleb Harless, and Joseph Harless. Serving as honorary pallbearer will be Samuel Harless.
