Matthew Frank Miller (Matt), 64 year old of Kingsley, MI, passed away at home on January 23, 2019 from an ongoing illness. He was born to Betty Mackay Miller and Harry Miller on July 7th, 1954 in Flint MI. His family mourns the passing of this loving, funny man.
He was very close to his Foster family of deceased Larry and Kay Allen with Siblings Larry Allen Jr. of Lapeer, Terry Hazen, Miley Paul Allen, Kay Herbshaw, Sue Allen and Richard Allen-Chatfield.
He married Connie Stanley in 1974, worked as an RV technician/business owner for over 35 years and was a Boy Scout leader when his sons were growing up.
He and Connie divorced and Matt moved to Grand Traverse County in 1995 working at Ernie's RV and then TC RV before retiring due to health in 2009. He and his brother Patrick also delved into solar electricity for a few years. He loved nothing better than feeding people, riding his Harley and listening to blues. Another highlight was hunting and fishing with friends. The Lord wanted some ribs so he called him home.
He is survived by his wife, Marcie Miller, who he met in 1999 and married in 2008, and living in Kingsley until the time of his death. He is also survived by his son, Eric Miller of Imlay City MI, stepson Matthew Walter, granddaughters Hope, Lucy Miller, Emma Walter, grandsons Alexander Verstreate and Eugene Verstreate, along with his brothers Patrick Miller and John Shephard of Hillman.
He is preceded in death by sons Bryan Verstreate and Micha Miller, his brother Timothy Miller, and his parents. They’re having a grand reunion at this time.
There will be no service at this time. A memorial in the warmer months is being planned. If you have questions please contact one of the immediate family.
