Cremation has been held and memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Kimball with Pastor Ellery Steffensen officiating. Inurnment will be held at a later date. Friends may visit www.cantrellfh.com to view his Tribute Wall and leave condolences and stories for the family. The family kindly requests contributions to be given in his memory to Kimball Hospital Foundation or St. John’s Lutheran Church. The services for Max have been entrusted to the Cantrell Funeral Home.
Max was born on February 26, 1952, in Wichita, Kansas, to Evelyn and Harold Revell. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran church. He graduated from Kimball County High School, Chadron State College and the Colorado Graduate School of Banking. Max Revell and Debra Moody were married on October 5, 1974 at the Moody Ranch in Crawford, NE. October 2024 marked their 50th wedding anniversary, a wonderful milestone of memories and love. They made Kimball their lifelong home.
Max dedicated 45 years to a career in banking, where he was known for his integrity, leadership, and commitment to helping others. He held numerous positions in his community, serving on countless boards and contributing his time and knowledge to making Kimball a better place for all.
Max is survived by his loving wife, Debra Revell; his oldest son, Jerimi (JJ) Revell, and his wife Jahira, along with their children, Michelle and Matthew; and his youngest son, Ryan Revell, and his wife Kayla, along with their children, Michael and Mary. He leaves behind his mother, Evelyn Gerih; his sister, Dana Revell; and his brother, Bryce Revell and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Max was preceded in death by his father, Harold Revell; his grandparents, John and Minnie Lingwall; and his grandparents, Alfred and Blanche Revell.
Max will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to his family, his community, and his faith. His kind heart, strong work ethic, and selfless nature left an indelible mark on everyone who knew him.
